Most people do not intentionally design their lives. They respond — to opportunities that appear, obligations that accumulate, expectations that solidify over time — and wake up years later in a life that makes sense but does not quite feel like theirs.
You have spent this summer becoming someone who does not do that. Someone who is intentional. Who knows herself. Who has the inner foundation to build from.
Now comes the most practical question of all: does your actual life reflect who you now know yourself to be?
The Life Audit
One of the most honest and useful things you can do is look at the major areas of your life — your time, your relationships, your work, your creative life, your daily inputs — and ask a simple question about each one: does this look like me?

- Color-Changing Gel: The jelly mask transforms from opaque to transparent, indicating optimal absorption.
- Enhanced Elasticity & Hydration: 32.2% improvement in overall skin elasticity, +7.8% improvement in skin texture after j…
Not the aspirational version. The real current picture. Where are your hours actually going? Do the relationships you invest in most reflect who you are becoming — or who you used to be? Does your work have any connection to your purpose and your actual gifts? What are you consuming most regularly, and what is it building in you?
The gaps between your honest answers and your ideal are not failures. They are information. They are your roadmap for where intentional redesign is needed.
Give Yourself Permission to Want What You Want
Before you can build a life that looks like you, you have to give yourself genuine permission to want what you actually want. Not the edited, reasonable, pre-approved version — the real, specific, sometimes-scary desire.
Your desires — the ones that persist even when you try to talk yourself out of them — are signals. They point toward what you were made for, what lights you up, and what your specific contribution to this world could look like if you let it. Stop pre-editing them. Start listening to them.
Values as Your Compass
The most practical tool for intentional life design: filter every significant decision through your values. Does this opportunity align with what I actually believe is important? Does this choice reflect who I am becoming? Does this move me toward or away from the life I want?
When your decisions consistently align with your values, your life starts to look increasingly like you. Not overnight, not without difficulty — but steadily, unmistakably, your choices accumulate into something that feels genuinely yours.
You are the author of this story. And you have spent this summer getting to know the author.
Now — write something true. 💛
